Who Are You Married To?
ATTN: Married entrepreneurs and business owners…..
As an entrepreneur or business owner, finding that delicate balance between work and family life is a challenge. The various stages of business growth can (and will) absorb the majority of your day if you let it. Here’s a simple yet effective system that will help to maintain boundaries between your business and personal lives and assure your spouse that you are married to him/her and not your business.
- Divert Daily – find time to focus one-on-one for a minimum of 5 minutes per day (talk, pray, or just stare into the eyes of one another)
- Engage Weekly – set a weekly dinner night, take a long walk, or find something to be alone for a few hours
- Retreat Annually – take your loved one on a weekend getaway or retreat at least one time per year
This is a simple system with a huge ROI. Want even more free time? Systematize your business so that it fuels itself and runs seamlessly without you.

Thanks for the reminder, Brad! Grace and I actually have a weekly “date night”. We are intentionally setting aside time to cultivate our marriage.
We leave our 2-year old son, Ethan, with my in-laws. They actually love to have baby Ethan with them. When you ask Ethan where daddy and mommy went, he would say, “Date!”
Now, I gotta go and plan for our annual family vacation.
Thanks again.
